Multi-Trade Craftsman Sales Technician / Handyman 

 

Position Overview:

​

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Handyman / Multi-Trade Craftsman Sales Technician who can both sell and complete residential repair and improvement projects.

 

This is not a typical hourly handyman role.

 

You will:

• Meet with homeowners

• Identify repair and improvement needs

• Recommend solutions

• Write up a quote for the customer

• Complete the work professionally

This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of their work and income, with the opportunity to earn more based on performance.

​

Compensation:

• Base Pay: $20/hour (40 hours/week guaranteed)

• Commission: 10% of labor revenue sold

• Quarterly Bonus: Based on performance metrics (revenue, ticket size, quality, upsells)

 

Earning Potential:

• Average: $60K–$70K

• Strong Performer: $70K–$80K+

Responsibilities:

​

Sales & Customer Interaction:

• Meet with homeowners to assess projects

• Clearly explain repair options and solutions

• Provide accurate pricing and scope of work

• Identify additional opportunities during visits (upsells)

​

Project Execution:

• Complete handyman and light remodeling tasks including:

  • drywall repair

  • carpentry

  • trim work

  • fixture installation

  • light remodeling projects

• Maintain high-quality workmanship

• Complete jobs efficiently and on schedule

 

Job Planning & Efficiency:

• Plan materials ahead of time

• Minimize supply runs

• Manage time effectively to complete projects

• Keep job sites clean and professional

• Maintain fully stocked supplies in van

 

Customer Experience:

• Communicate clearly with clients

• Ensure customer satisfaction

• Represent the company professionally at all times

 

Performance Expectations:

Technicians are expected to:

• Produce approximately $200K–$300K+ in annual revenue

• Identify and sell additional work on-site

• Maintain strong customer ratings (4.7+ average)

• Minimize callbacks and warranty work

 

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of handyman or residential construction experience

• Strong skills in plumbing, electric, carpentry, drywall, and general repairs

• Ability to work independently and problem solve

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work both individually and on a team on presold jobs.

• Leave every jobsite cleaner than you found it.

• Valid driver’s license

• A starting rate of $21 / hour.

• Bonuses based upon performance.
